Your Warranty our dedication...

This covers all products by Phillips Scott for 6 Months calculated from the shipped / ready for pickup date.  The Warranty is only available for the original Authorized Reseller, herein known as "Reseller" who purchased.  Reseller accounts must be in good standing / up to date or Warranty is voided until current.  

Phillip Scott does not warranty products / communicate directly to Reseller's Retail Clients.  This is Resellers' responsibility to communicate directly with their retail clients if a warranty issue arises.  

Phillips Scott warrants the following products or parts against manufacturing issues when used for “standard residential use”.  For purposes of this Warranty, “standard residential use” means the product is located and used inside a residential single-family dwelling with product maintenance performed absent of consumer abuse, misuse, accidents, or negligence.  This is subject to the limitations and exclusions stated below.   

Any maintenance or cleaning performed outside of Phillip Scott's instructions void this Warranty.  Maintenance Instructions are available by clicking this link

If Phillip Scott determines a product or part is found to have a manufacturing issue within the warranty period after examination by an authorized Phillips Scott representative,  Phillips Scott will supply parts, touch-up kits, allowance for a repair, replace, or a credit on file at their discretion.   

Authorized Reseller Limited Warranty - set forth

General:
Our products are bench-made and hand-finished by our teams of artisans from wood and other natural materials.  Variations from piece to piece will occur in finish, design, and size. 

Stained & Painted Finishes:  
Each piece of our furniture is finished by hand, involving multiple steps. The result is a uniquely beautiful piece. The natural beauty of wood products comes from the variations most created by nature including color, grain, texture, and hand distressing.  Our unique Painted Finish styles make the color of each furniture piece vary in tones due to hand application.  Due to these variations, finishes on individual pieces are not guaranteed to match. Finishes ordered at different times are not guaranteed to match.  These variations are NOT considered an issue and this Warranty does NOT cover variations associated with natural wood and hand finishing on any finish color. This Warranty does NOT cover any buckling, splitting or hairline cracks of veneers or painted finishes resulting from exposure to moisture, heat or sunlight. 

Hardware:  
When available, replacement hardware will be provided for valid Warranty claims.  If matching replacement hardware is not available, then we will provide a set of similar hardware for the product.  Our Decorative Hardware styles are available in a few different finish colors.  Each hardware batch made will vary in tones due to the process.  These variations are NOT considered an issue and this Warranty does NOT cover color variations.

Glass, Mirror, Marbles, and Stone: 
Glass and Mirror are hand-cut and will show slight movement or waves when viewing at an angle.   Mirrored surfaces will often have painted backs that will show small character marks.  Antiqued Mirror will all vary in the amount of contrasting antiquing spots / distressing. Marble or Stone surfaces have natural pitting, which is when there is a tiny space that can form in between the deposits of mineral crystals within natural stone. This can happen during polishing, cooling, or heating of the stone. These pits and voids are natural to marble and stone.  These imperfections of materials are NOT considered issues and this Warranty does NOT cover this.

Banana Leaf / Water Hyacinth Product
These types of Chairs need to be placed indoors or inside a covered outdoor space to protect it from the elements.  These products contain natural fibers, that weather can wreak havoc on.  Exposure to direct sunlight deteriorates the products’ leaf filaments, causing them to fade and become dry and brittle. Excess moisture from rain, snow, and dew (or resulting from any other natural elements) weakens the woven fibers and causes mildew or mold growth on the furniture. Avoid placing inside banana leaf furniture near a fireplace, radiator, or other heat sources in order to prevent the fibers from drying out and splitting.  Agitated contact with chair material from pets, shoes, vacuuming, or cleaning products will weaken, fray, and discolor the material showing excessive wear. This Warranty does NOT cover these signs of consumer abuse, misuse, or negligence.

All-Weather Faux Rattan Product:
Faux Rattan materials "wrapped over aluminum, stainless, or teak frames" and cushion fabrics will age with exposure to weather elements over time.  This Warranty does NOT cover the finish or material.

Leathers & Fabrics:

Natural Leather - Each hide is unique and features its own texture, wrinkles, color, stiffness, and natural markings.  There are even differences within a single hide. Therefore, it is not unusual to see color differences, grain changes, and even scars or brand marks on a piece of furniture.   

Fabric - Variations are natural, such as color variation due to dye lots and textural changes.  Velvets show a visible hue or color changes after use due to flattening after friction caused by standard residential use.  

Changes - Leather & Fabrics will change tones of color due to standard residential use, time, and exposure to elements such as sun.  These variations are characteristics of the Leather & Fabrics and are NOT considered issues and this Warranty does NOT cover this.

Upholstery Fillings:

Seat support is created with webbing material attached to all frames.  The standard filling for a seat is created with a foam core and a layer of Dacron "a synthetic polyester textile fiber" batting on top and bottom for designer-style elegance and comfort.  Other cushion fills offered on select items are feather top and bottom compartments with a foam center core.  Cushion fluffing on the above cushions will help when you experience resiliency loss.  Cushion resiliency loss due to standard residential use and aging is normal and is NOT considered an issue and is NOT covered by this Warranty.

Metal Products:
Material Types:  Brushed Gold, Stainless Steel, Painted Aluminum.
Metal products are fabricated by welded connections expect a small visible weld joint on connections. Metal products need to be placed indoors or inside a covered outdoor space to protect it from the elements.  Exposure to direct moisture, humidity, sunlight, and the elements will change color tones, corrode, pit, rust, and tarnish products.  Exposure to these conditions will NOT be covered by this Warranty.  


Warranty Limitations and Exclusions: 
The Warranty remedy provided shall be the sole and only remedy for all losses or damages resulting after Phillip Scott determines a product or part is found to have a manufacturing issue within the warranty period after examination by an authorized Phillips Scott representative.  Phillips Scott disclaims and shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any sort.

Warranty is only for the 
Authorized Reseller who purchased.

Warranty is not transferrable. 

Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from negligence, abuse, misuse, or commercial use "unless stated", conditions resulting from any use for which the product was not designed, product location NOT inside a residential single-family dwelling, tampering or alteration, accidents, cigarette burns, pets, aftermarket protective treatments, staining or discoloration caused by non-manufacturer approved cleaning products or techniques, surface spills, misuse, fading due to sunlight, body oils, tanning lotions or any chemicals, and chipping, denting, knife marks, scratching, dragging objects on top of finish creating scratches, and gouging that occurs from handling after the shipment was signed for and no issues were reported within 24h of receipt.

Warranty does not cover any product purchased “As Is,” or discounted sales product, and any claims will not be allowed.   

Warranty does not cover damages to any product caused by acts of nature/god, including, but not limited to, floods, water, freezes, fire, and wind. Warranty does NOT cover any product reupholstered with customers own material (“COM”).

Obligations:
Under this Warranty are limited to repairs, or replacement of the product or part covered by this Warranty found to have a manufacturing issue within the warranty period after examination by an authorized Phillips Scott representative.  Phillips Scott will supply parts, touch-up kits, allowance for a repair, replace, or a credit on file at our discretion. Refunds are not available. Warranty does NOT cover non-compliance if the product or part is misused, improperly installed, or modified in any respect after the ship / 
ready for pickup date.
